Can I have 2 more stars to add? My favorite place to eat. Love this family run business.
Friendly service and delicious food!!!
Good food, high prices for Mexican food. Enchiladas come with mole sauce, could be a deal breaker for some
Food was excellent as usual, service is always great!
Tacos Gaby is our favorite Mexican Restaurant. My wife and I both had the Mojado Burrito and our daughter had fajitas. Their food is always fresh and served in a timely manner. The staff is always friendly and personable. If you want great food and a family friendly environment, you won't go wrong with Tacos Gaby.
Great flavor and great service. Highly recommended.
Food is amazing. We had a new server and he was fabulous. We always love this place!
Good food, nice family owned restaurant. Been a customer since they had a taco truck.
My husband & I order out today & we were extremely disappointed. Our portions were small & it upset our stomachs instantly , we couldn't even finish our full meal , because it was making us feel sick.
The food we ordered were so tasty!! We also ordered Mango magarita but it didn't taste like alcohol in it at all.
So good. Fresh and the portions are huge.
Awesome atmosphere.
I was blown away by how delicious every single thing was! I had the carnitas and it was amazing! The beans were tasty, the rice could use a little work. But usually when you go to a Mexican restaurant, they all sort of have the same tasting food, not this one! We will be regulars. And the hospitality from the waiter is like nothing I’ve received before, they have a sign on the front the building “my house is your house” and I felt that.
I ordered the chicken quesadilla and let me tell you Taco Bell could have done a better job! I got the order to go and my quesadilla was so full and greasy it was to soggy to pick up. That wasn't even the worst part! The quesadilla was so bland it was like eating nothing at all. The chicken tasted like it came straight from a can and there was absolutely no seasoning on any of it. I asked for extra guacamole and they decided to give me two scoops of avacado. Last time I checked guacamole had onions, tomato's, and flavor. Hands down worst quesadilla I have EVER had!!!
I ordered the traditional burrito (pictured) and my husband ordered a taco plate. The quantity, as you can see here, is astounding. The staff were polite, if not actually friendly, but we were there for a takeaway order an hour and a half before closing. The problem I'm having here is that we both ordered carne asada as the meat in our food. And what we were given was bland, sad ground beef. I'm white and I can cook better carne asada without even trying. I'm honestly insulted that either 1.) They thought the gringos wouldn't be able to tell the difference, and pawned off cheap meat on them, or 2.) They're an "authentic" Mexican restaurant that has no idea what carne asada is supposed to taste like.I don't think I'll be coming back here. But if you like American style Mexican food, this could be the place for you.
Jose was incredible. First time eating here and we will definitely go back! Friendly, clean, and fast service.
Very impressed with or guy that memorized what we ordered and out of 7 orders, not one was messed up.. food was delicious as well.
Cute little Mexican themed restaurant. Menu is very diverse and the food tastes really good. One suggestion for management, replace the dimmer switches with standard light switches. The led bulbs flicker due to the poor quality switches in the back area. Has a strobing effect.
Great service
Food was excellent we really didn't wait that long the prices weren't bad at all it was a very pleasant surprise for Yelm Washington we sent outside the place wasn't super busy the help was very friendly the guy that cook the food brought it out to us and made sure we were waited on throughout the meal if you're in Yelm you ought to try this place out, well worth the money.
Great hot sauce, quick service with a smile.
Great food! Huge portions!!
Tacos Gaby has the best mexican food in Yelm. The staff is always incredible, and the food is amazing. Dining in is always a treat, but their to-go service is also wonderful. We have never had any errors in our orders. We have tried the other places in Yelm, but this one is the best. Even when we move away, it'll be worth coming back for Tacos Gaby when we visit friends.
Not very good at all. Service was slow. Food was average at best. We won't be back. Too many other better places to spend our money.
Quaint interior, huge portions, wonderful menu selections and authentic home made food. Staff is quick, orders came faster than expected considering being hand made. This family restaurant goes the extra mile even in little things like the salsa and chips we come to expect also had refried beans dip, just a token of the quality food and service that followed. We will be back.
Outstanding eats. Highly recommend. Jose waited on 13 people singlehandedly with no problems.
Best mex in yelm hands down!
These folks are great. Huge portions, well presented, fast and great service. Reasonable prices too. A no rush atmosphere and relaxed dining. This is a great value for family's and guests. It's a bit hidden on the main Street but well worth finding.
They seem to have closed permanently, they had killer food.
No hot plate warning & my husband burned his hand. He's no pansy, his hands are extremely calloused.
Nothing crazy, service was decent nothing exceptional. Didnt like that the burritos came with lettuce IN them instead of the vegs on the outside. Got soggy in a min or two because of that. No sauce or beans or rice served with the super burrito, that was disappointing and it was honestly too big. I've seen better places. BUT this place has some good drinks and it's a super cute restaurant.
I loved my food. my wife did not... so you'll get an average of 3.. lol I thought everything was delicious though.
I came here on a Friday night with some friends, and there was no wait, we got our food quickly. The waitress was very nice, polite and fast. All of our food was hot and delicious! The portions were very generous and my steak quesadilla was the thickest quesadilla I've ever seen! My friends from California said this is the best authentic Mexican food they've found around here. For kids, they have kids menus, kids cups, booster seats, high chairs, and a changing table. The bathrooms were clean. The prices were very affordable! Overall, we were very pleased and will be coming back regularly!
Jose is very friendly and likes to joke around but all fun aside the food is great. Very large portion' s served so you can have left overs. My girlfriend and I usually share a chicken chimmychonga. So good! And the price is better than any of the other Mexican restaurant's in town.
Loved this place had good food, unfortunately they are permanently closed. Kook for their taco truck soon
This is not a place I would recommend. The owner is a selfish person today he fired my brother in law due to the fact he was having a bad day because she dog died but still went to work and because he did not say hi to the owners mother they went off on him and when he told them what was wrong they fired him for it. They would make him work Split shifts so that way he was not full time and yet he still went to work to make money. On top of that the things I would told they do in this place brings up a lot of health issues and the health dpt should be looking into this place I’m shocked no one has gotten sick of what I have been told is true and I would think it is just because how my brother in law was treated just because he did not say hi to the mother of the owner very sad. No one should go eat at a place that treats their employees this way at all.
Great environment and sitting areas. Food servings were huge and we took them back to the place we were staying at for lunch the following day!
Delicious Friday lunch of fish tacos plus some chips and guac. Very welcoming server with good suggestions.
Incredible food and service every single time!
Jose really made my visit to Tacos Gaby. I was unsure of what I wanted and he asked me, " beef, chicken, or pork?". As soon as I answered he was off. A little while later I was served a wonderful plate of beef, potatoes, and onions, with a side of rice and beans. It was a very pleasant and very satisfying meal. I was grateful for the food, atmosphere, and for Jose.
Great food, decent service, very reasonable prices.
Wonderful menu variety, fresh guacamole and fabulous flavors. We had the green mole enchiladas and something Marina. It was skirt steak with shrimp. We'll definitely make the trip out to Yelm just to eat here again.
Had tongue tacos and beef tamales. They were wonderfully delicious.
Cantaritos were great. I ate a shrimp cocktail which was amazing. Definitely a good spot to eat at.
Sorry going out of business
Great food with great prices and service!!!
Ridiculous expensive!! Always ask prices cause lime prices are near gold traders expencive. maybe because I was with out of towners, always ask prices..
they've gone downhill since they first opened. No flavor in tgeir food anymore. Was my fav
Best Mexican food I've ever had. I drive all the way from Olympia just for a burrito from this place!
We did a pick up order. We ordered the macho burrito and gaby nachos. This was by far the best take out Mexican food we have had!! They were nice when we went in to pick up the order. They were fast. The flavors were exceptional!!! We will be going back!!!
